The DRG team provided design assistance, quality control, and project management for manufacturing, delivery, installation, and interior finish of permanent modular units for the U.S Army Corp of Engineers at Fort Carson army base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The residences are apartment-like units with a kitchen, eating area, and two sleeping areas. Multiple manufacturing plants were utilized in order to meet deadlines. The First units began arriving in January 2008, and the job was completed by December 2009.

The Corps required four, 4-story complexes, with 288 2-bedroom apartments, that met the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Antiterrorist Force Protection requirements including progressive collapse features.
