The DRG team provided design-assistance, quality control, and project management for manufacturing, delivery, installation, and interior finish of permanent modular units for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Hood army base in Killeen, Texas.
The Corps required a 4-story, 240 module Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) facilities for approximately 480 personnel. The building met progressive collapse and Anti-Terrorist Force Protection “ATFP” requirements. Each unit includes a kitchen, eating area, and two sleeping areas.
The building includes features such as blast-resistant windows and air barrier systems that meet rigid standards for outside air intrusion and sound requirements.
